Surina Naran

Surina Naran is a current Stanford Senior studying Political Science with concentrations on Elections, Representation, and Governance. She’s researched presidential campaigns and platforms, worked to poll and analyze Gen Z’s views on democracy, and is currently working on a research project related to homosociality in politics.

Surina has spent two summers working with Planned Parenthood Affiliates of California, analyzing reproductive healthcare policy and working on policies supporting access to reproductive healthcare. She later worked in the California Governor’s office with legislative affairs during a chaotic bill signing season. In Washington, D.C., Surina worked with Senator Alex Padilla’s scheduling and legislative teams, and later with Cassidy & Associates.

Surina also loves to paint, play cards, and read, alternating between dystopian thrillers and good suburban thrillers.
