Julie Norton

Founding Partner

Julie brings more than 25 years media consulting experience helping political campaigns, advocacy groups and movement organizations develop comprehensive political communications strategies, including producing advertising to achieve their goals.

Prior to Mosaic, Julie was Partner at Trippi, Norton, Rossmeissl Campaigns and Managing Director at SKDKnickerbocker.

She has received ten Pollie Awards for advertising she has produced, including Best Statewide Ballot Initiative Ad, Best Democratic IE DCCC Ad; Use of Humor in Ballot Initiative Campaigns; and Best Use of Negative for a Congressional Campaign.

Julie has served as a leading strategist and media consultant for major national organizations, including the ACLU, GLAAD, LCV and others. She has produced media and advised countless candidates from the State House to the White House, ranging from Congresswoman Cori Bush to Birmingham Mayor Randall Woodfin. Julie was a senior member of Howard Dean’s groundbreaking presidential campaign, helped elect the first Democratic attorney general in Virginia in decades and the last Democrat elected statewide in South Carolina.

Julie has worked extensively in the ballot measure arena, including advising and producing media for ballot campaigns on gun violence prevention, abortion rights, clean elections, food labeling and marriage equality.

Julie helped launch Defend Freedom, which is currently fighting to restore abortion rights via ballot measure campaigns, and also helped launch and manage the Georgia Blue Project and Latino Families Forward–which at the time was one of the only Super PACs that focused exclusively on the Latino vote in Texas.

Julie graduated from Williams College in Massachusetts and lives in Arlington, Virginia. With a high-maintenance wife, two “high-spirited” kids under 10 and a neurotic goldendoodle named Scout, Julie enjoys the serenity a career in politics provides.
